I am an Information Technology professional with experience in Project Implementation, Asset Control, Technical Writing, and Team Management. My favorite type of project to work on involves the mitigation of hardware technical debt, especially in a Retail Point of Sale environment.
As an "elder millenial", I have been steeped in the Internet and some degree of HTML coding for most of my life. It's only been in the past six months or so that I have been actively learning how to build fully functional and accessible websites. I'm learning quickly, and would love to be able to incorporate this knowledge into a career.
In my spare time I am usually playing video games, drawing, or hanging out at home with my wife and three cats.
Planning, coordination and oversight of the deployment of technology in retail settings. New equipment and systems as well as upgrade and/or refresh of existing platforms and assets. Both front side POS systems and back of house.
2024 - Served as Command Center Lead deploying new POS system to 1000+ stores and 10,200+ registers in 5 months with no sales interruptions.
Provided operational guidance and leadership necessary to assist the Equipment and Depot Services management team and related support areas. Responsible for the accurate and timely management of equipment assets coming in and out of IT stock areas, incidents relating to asset movement and the processing of IT invoices for payment. Assisted in other special projects as required.
Served as Escalations Team Leader in a high-volume outsourced call center, handling tech support for consumer and professional level photography equipment. Responsible for interviewing new hires, as well as promotions into the Escalations Team. Helped maintain a 60% average CSAT score for escalated calls.
